Thefted from Kiwi who thefted from Tifa who thefted from Cherry who thefted from Karma.

1] What is your pen name?
On DA I go by Sky/ Darkened-Skys. I however sign my art ‘Jax’, so that’s my ‘real life’ pen name.

2] How did you get the name?
When I was in grade six my mom started calling me ‘Jax’. It’s sort of a spin on a childhood nickname my brothers and parents used to call me.

3] Do you use PC or Mac?
PC, when I use Macs, I tend to start swearing a lot and I make threats to them and their creators.

4] What software you use most often?
Sony Vegas 8.0 Platinum and MS Word

5] Do you use mouse, or tablet?
Mouse, but I have a tablet too.

6] The color you use most often is?
Black, of course. But I like to use red too.

7] What area of the pictures do you put most effort into?
Mmm, shading I suppose. With my sketches I tend to put a lot of work into outfit designs.

8] How long does it take you do draw a picture?
Depends on my muse.

9] Do you keep your rough drafts?
Yes indeed. ^_^

10] What kind of font do you use most often?
TNR on MS Word, ‘cos it’s the default font.

11] What's the dpi when you scan?
No idea

12] Do you do anything else when you're drawing pictures?
Listen to music, think, talk to myself.

13] How many pictures do you draw in a month?
Finished ones? 2-4 on average I guess. I draw something pretty much every day, but a lot of the time they’re unfinished sketches in the margins of homework or on napkins and that sort of thing.

14] What kind of paper do you draw your pictures on?
Mainly in my sketchbook or on normal printer paper, but if I don’t have those with me, I’ll draw on whatever paper I can get my hands on.

15] What kind of paper do you use for sketches and drafts?
Didn’t I just answer that? Whatever I can get my hands on.

16] How long does it take to ink something?
Depends on how much detail there is. Generally it takes anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.

17] Do you do doujinshi or original manga?
Sort of, yeah. I haven’t actually completed a full doujinshi yet, but I have several rough pages and scripts for doujinshi lying around my house.

18] Do you like doujinshi? Is it fun making it?
I like doujinshi very much when they are well done. :D I enjoy making them. ^_^ It’s a bit trickier than drawing just a picture in my opinion, but it’s still really fun.

19] Ever submitted anything to a magazine?
Nope.

20] Did it get published?
Yes (no, there was nothing to be published)

21] Who are your favorite artists?
Hmm… I know who they are, but I’m not going to say (and my profile listing LIES I tell you!). I’ll give you a hint, both of them are doujinshi artists and the bulk of their work is FFVII relate.

22] What's your favorite Anime/Manga?
Well I really like Death Note. The Gundam Seed anime was also one I enjoyed watching while it was on. The Final Fantasy VII Last Order OVA is completely kickass too (even though Tifa-chi wouldn’t stop snickering every time Sephiroth said he was looking for ‘ka-san’ or ‘JENOVA’… I am never going to live that nickname down am I?).

23] Favorite Character?
Death Note = L (he and I share the same sweet addiction :D) GS = no one in particular… well, I have a soft spot for the Haros. Last Order = Zack and Cloud... okay and Sephiroth.

24] Any artists that you'd like to draw like?
The answer is the same as 21, but I'm happy with my own style.

25] Do you buy books a lot?
Oh yeah.

26] Did you ever buy a book to inspire you to draw?
Yes indeedy.

27] Any video games you enjoy?
Need you ask? Final Fantasy VII of course! :exicited: Kingdom Hearts II coming in very close as well, I love the Disney + Final Fantasy angle and the Heartless are just too damn awesome. Tales of Symphonia was a good one too, still fun to play y’know. And Guitar Hero and DDR are always fun.

28] Any favorite characters from video games?
Zack Fair and Cloud Strife. Vincent Valentine and Reno of the Turks are cool too. ^_^ Oh and I can’t forget Axel from Kingdom Hearts. Genis from Tales of Symphonia is cool too...and people have said that he reminds them of me or vise versa...why am I always compared to characters with silver/ white hair?

29] Do you have a favorite writer?
Not a published one anyways.

30] Any books you really enjoy?
Um… do mangas count? I can't remember any really gripping novels that I've read recently... Oh wait! The Wind Singer was one of my favorites back in the day.

31] Do you write fanfics?
Yes indeed.

32] Any music that you often listen to while drawing?
That depends on my mood. I tend to put my iPod on shuffle and just listen to what comes on or if I’m really drawing inspiration from a particular song, I’ll listen to that a lot (i.e. right now Devils Never Cry is serving as a muse for me, so I’ve been listening to it a lot).

33] Any recommended songs?
Devils Never Cry by Shootie HG, Straight to Hell by Great Big Sea, I’m Still Here by John Rzeznik, Why by Ayaka and Love Like Winter by AFI are some of my personal favorites at the moment. And I find that I’m quite fond of a fair bit of Hans Zimmers work. I’ve also taken a bit of a shine to Breaking Benjamin and Bryan Adams.

DA, my e-mail page, youtube and um… yeah. :D

36] What is your dream site like?
Um… DA?

37] Do you like your own art?
Yup. It’s far from perfect and I’d like to improve some, but I’m proud of it..

38] What do you enjoy watching on TV?
I honestly only watch about 1 or 2 hours of TV a week. I used to watch Death Note on Fridays, but then the series was finished up. I watch So You Think You Can Dance with my mom, but again, the season was finished. Other than that, I might watch the Simpsons or Top Gear if someone else in my family has it on.

39] Favorite celebrity?
I don’t really care for the famous. Okay, well, my cousin Greg (he’s in the band Scourge of River City), but he’s not really a celebrity since they only have one CD out, but y’know…

40] Favorite color?
Red and Black. But I’ve taken a bit of a shine to orange and yellow as of late.

41] Favorite food?
Chinese food from this local restaurant and sweets (pocky is always good)

42] Favorite drink?
Bubble tea. ^w^

43] Any places you like to shop at?
Hmm… no one store specifically, I just like to go to Toronto and poke around the fashion district or Pacific Mall.

44] Can you cook?
Umm… does telling you that I’ve come as close as humanly possible to burning WATER answer that?

45] Any programs you use often for email? Any electronic pets?
Yahoo mail, and, admittedly, yes. Funny story actually, I got them about 4 odd years ago and I’ve just sort of gotten into the habit of taking care of them.

46] Are you a computer expert?
…no.

47] Want to become a professional artist?
Yeah, it’d be cool. ^_^

48] Any other jobs you're interested in, besides an illustrator?
Being an animator or a fashion designer strikes my fancy. Also, being a director or a professional video editor would be really cool as well. ^^; Storyboard artist, video game developement...

49] Any other specialities besides drawing?
Video editing (though I still have a lot to learn), writing and holding one-sided conversations with myself.

50] Do you like to watch movies?
Yup.

51] What's your favorite movie?
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children of course. ^_^ Though, I must admit, the Lion King also has a very special place in the area of my chest where my heart is supposed to be.

52] Have you ever entered art contests?
…I dun wanna talk about it. -sulks in corner-

53] When did you start drawing seriously?
Um...When I was 2-years-old. Drawing has always been an important part of my life.

54] Anything that you often use as a reference when you draw?
My mangas, artbooks or any pictures I happen to have on my desk. Photos also work too.

55] Have you met any of your fans online?
I don’t think I have any ‘fans’ so to speak. But I have met a few of my online friends offline.

56] You have a lot of pen pals?
Nope.

57] You have a lot of (RL I'm assuming) friends that draw?
Yup, most of them do in fact.

58] What time do you usually go online?
…a lot. I don’t really have a specific time I go on.

No. Online or offline, I don’t like mingling with large amounts of people at once.

60] Do you have your own computer?
Alas I do not.

61] What would you say to the person you admire?
Probably something really stupid. That or I’d be really standoff-ish… Like Vincent Valentine standoff-ish.

62] Do you think of things when you draw?
Yup, a lot of the times I’m thinking up an entire story in my head to go along with the picture while I’m drawing. Even if it’s just an outfit design, I tend to think up some type of story to go along with it.

63] Have you drawn bad because you think too much?
Mm, probably.

64] Do you have any friends who are professionals?
Nope.

65] Where do you often hang out?
In the dark-ish corner in my bedroom where I am partially hidden from view. If I’m not there playing Crisis Core or doodling, I’m generally lurking around my house.

66] Do you have any artists that you don't like too much?
Not really. I don’t like it when people are really stuck up and basically tell their fans/ watchers ‘up yours’ whenever they’re asked something. I just dislike that sort of behavior.

67] Situations in which you really don't like being online?
Cyber bulling… I don’t like being online when that happens. Oh and when creepers decide to creep.

68] Situations which you hate when it comes to having websites?
Again, cyber bullying.

69] Something that makes you really glad that the internet exists?
DA, and being able to chat with my friends that I don’t get to see too often.

70] What about things that make you NOT glad that the internet exists?
Cyber. Bullying.

71]What's the first picture you've ever shown to the public online?
Um…The first one I posted in my gallery here.

72] Do you still have that?
Yes, I tend to keep all my art.

73] Has your drawing style changed a lot?
Yes, it’s evolved quite a bit.

74] How does it usually change?
Well, the eyes changed a fair bit over time; they’ve gotten a lot smaller. I guess it shifted to becoming more anatomically correct, but I’ve sort of decided to forsake that when I took up drawing something a little more ‘street’ in school. I dunno, it just sorta shifts.

75] Have you experienced artists block before?
Oh yeah, who hasn’t?

76] How did you escape from it?
Um, most recently? …I sorta broke up with my ‘boyfriend’ and then I got a creative surge. >_< Anxiety…

77] What happens when you have artists block?
I come up with ideas in my mind for outfits or pictures and then I try to take it to the page, but I can’t get anything to look right. Basically, I get ticked.

78] Any artists that have influenced you a lot?
Tetsuya Nomura has definitely been an influence. Other than that, nothing really comes to mind.

79] What made you start drawing?
I don’t remember, I mean, I was two for crying in the sink. Besides, I’m pretty sure the need to draw is in my blood.

80] What made you want to get a website?
Tifa-chi had DA and I thought it was pretty nifty.

81] Where did your site name come from?
N/A

82] What do you think about net manners?
Chat speak irritates me, but I don’t really care about net manners as long as people are not being exceedingly rude.

83] Have you ever been spammed?
Yes indeed. :D

84] Ever thought about quitting your webpage?
Nope

85] If so, why?
Blarg

…wha…?

87] When creating your site, do you use a program or pure html?
Um, well for a school project I used Dreamweaver.

88] Do you have good eyesight?
Hah! No! I have horrendous eyesight. I have like a 6.4 correction.

89] If you can get any person's autograph, who's would you get?
…I’m not sure to be honest. Like I said, I’m not big on the famous peoples.

90] What would you say to that person when he/she autographs for you?
N/A (but I’d probably say something really stupid or be double V standoff-ish)

91] Do you have fans of your art?
I dunno. You tell me.

92] Do you like to draw on oekaki bbs?
Never tried it.

93] Are you good at art in school?
Yes. I got a 94 in the course this year. It’s my best subject, but I tend to obsess and I’ve been told by the teacher a couple of times not to work so hard. I honestly never expected to be told to slack off by my teacher before… ^^;

94] Did you take art lessons other than from school?
Yeah, when I was younger I took some for water colour painting, wire art, comic book drawing, jewelry making and even one for recording.

95] Have you drawn a manga?
Professionally? No. And I’ve never completed one, but I do have several rough drafts of pages lying around my room.

96] What's your favorite phrase/quote?
“They show up and they blow up” ~ Vic Mignogna and my other favorite is in my DA signature. Oh, and there’s “You wasted moments of my life! Moments I will never get back.” ~ Dane Cook.

97] Do you think your personality is different externally and internally?
Yeah. I think I have about fifty different personalities, all competing for the surface persona. I’m cynical on all levels though. Though there are secrets of my inner me that none of you shall ever know. ;P

98] What's your goal now?
I’m not thinkin’ much past lunch.

99] What do you have to say to yourself?
You just bought an awesome strawberry! And you will make a bracelet out of Starburst wrappers!

100] Lastly, what do you have to say to everyone?
Muffins will take over the world promptly before it explodes.

You have a tablet?!?! I did not know. Did it come with Photoshop Elements, cuz I know a lot of them do... * just wondering *

And if you like that John Rzeznik song, he's the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls, who are very good. You might like their stuff too.

Hehehe it's a big chain of robbery. If it's banana muffins that are taking over the world then it won't be so bad. =P
Yeah. Tifa gave her old one to me back in January. It only came with a trial.

I know. ^_^ I like some of their stuff.

I have a dream and in it something eats you.
You are grabbed, slimed, crushed, and gobbled. You are dead, dead, dead. Any questions?
Le gasp!

Yeah, the trial has gone bye-bye now. Yeah, I don't do a lot of digital art mainly 'cos I don't have a program that let's me use layers... and I tend to forget I have the tablet. ^^;
