Personality:
Li is rather quite when you first meet her. She has the tendency to come across as cold or dismissive. The truth is that she’s pretty shy. She often finds herself getting rather worked up in social situations, causing her to act with less tact than she would like when she actually musters up the nerve to speak. While her statements often come across as being harsh or mean spirited, she very rarely intends to actually hurt people with her words.

History:
Born and raised in Eterna City, Juliette lived a fairly quiet life for most of her childhood, spending most of her time either exploring Eterna Forest or helping her parents with her family’s breeding business. She demonstrated an interest in Pokemon at a very young age and this lead to her father giving her an egg shortly before her thirteenth birthday. The egg soon hatched into a pair of Eevees, twins which she named Do and Re. Li quickly started on plans to become a Pokemon trainer and was ready to set out by the time she turned thirteen.

Unfortunately things did not go as she had planned.

While tagging along with her father on a trip to Route 221, Li was attacked by a wild Skuntank and she was severely injured as a result. A Toxic attack had damaged her eyes, robbing her of her sight. It didn’t take long for Li to start noticing that people had started to treat her differently after she lost her sight. Her parents became more protective, becoming reluctant to let her go into Eterna Forest and they would balk at the idea of her taking on the gyms in Sinnoh. Having her parents lose faith in her ability as a trainer hurt Li more than she was willing to admit, so she threw herself into training with Do and Re, hoping to distract herself and to prove that she was still able to handle the challenges of being a trainer.

To her surprise, her father’s coordinator friend Gerard started to support her efforts and would take her around to the various cities of Sinnoh when he had to travel for contests. Gerard also gave Li her third Pokémon, a rowdy Jigglypuff that she named Frederic. While traveling with Gerard, Li was able to challenge the first three gyms in Sinnoh, managing to scrape out victories by learning to pick up sound cues from her Pokémon. By the time she was fifteen she managed to convince her parents to let her travel around Sinnoh to take on the rest of the gyms.

One year later, Juliette had managed to defeat all eight gym leaders and was prepared to take on the Pokémon League. She managed to make it to the quarterfinals of the championship before she was defeated; a fact that frustrated her but impressed a number of talent scouts. It was from these scouts that she learned about the Battle Frontier and Juliette and her team jumped at the opportunity.

While her defeat at the Pokemon League disappointed her, it prepared her from facing the Frotnier and six month later she was able to take on and defeat the five Frontier Brains. The win surprised Li more than anyone else and she was ecstatic to have earned the title of Frontier Champion.

When she returned home from the Battle Frontier, Li found a message waiting for her, an invitation to be the Sinnoh representative for the Island of Sonnet. Curious about the new land, Li packed her bag and gather her team, ready to face whatever challenges the new region would throw their way.

Additional Information:
:bulletblue: She developed her dislike for crowds after going blind, since the noise makes it difficult for her to get her bearings.
:bulletblue: She misses being able to read normal books and will ask those she trusts to read to her
:bulletblue: Physically she’s fairly weak
:bulletblue: She cannot swim
:bulletblue: She's a vegetarian
:bulletblue: She's got a decent singing voice, but is a bit shy about sharing it

Pokémon

:bulletblue:

Species: Leafeon (shiny)
Nickname: Re
Gender: Male
Nature: Quirky

Attacks: Magical Leaf :bulletblue: Synthesis :bulletblue: Leaf Blade :bulletblue: Energy Ball
Ability: Leaf Guard

History:

Re was one of Li’s very first Pokémon, hatching from the egg her father had given her along with Do. Re took an immediate shine to Li and quickly grew to share her sense of curiosity. Re is not one to back down from a fight and quite enjoys battles, almost as much as he enjoys cuddling his trainer. When Li lost her sight, Re became fiercely protective of her and started pushing himself to become stronger so that she would not be hurt again. Re evolved into Leafeon while they were training in Eterna Forest a few months after Li was blinded. As it stands, Re is one of the only of her Pokémon that she has actually seen.

:bulletblue:

Species: Glaceon (shiny)
Nickname: Do
Gender: Male
Nature: Modest

Attacks: Mirror Coat :bulletblue: Blizzard :bulletblue: Bite :bulletblue: Aqua Tail
Ability: Snow Coat

History:

Do is a polar opposite of his twin brother Re in terms of personality. He is rather sky when not in battle and would prefer to stick close to Li, acting fairly timid with people other than his trainer. Do does however share his brother’s protective streak and will abandon his shyness if Li is threatened. Do evolved into Glaceon when Li and her team were traveling to Snowpoint City. Since his evolution, Do has become one of Li’s strongest fighters. Do and Re work as a team constantly, serving as guide Pokémon for Li as well as her go-to Pokémon for double battles.

:bulletblue:

Species: Wigglytuff
Nickname: Frederic
Gender: Male
Nature: Serious

Attacks: Gyro Ball :bulletblue: Fire Punch :bulletblue: Hyper Voice :bulletblue: Last Resort
Ability: Cute Charm

History:

Li received Frederic as a gift when he was still a Jigglypuff shortly after she went blind. Frederic is – and has always been – an aggressive little imp. He despises being called cute and will snub anyone who tries to pet him. Frederic is the most serious out of Li’s team, taking most battles personally. Initially, Li had difficulty getting Frederic to obey her, the little balloon being unwilling to take orders from anyone. However, Frederic started to take note of Li’s unwillingness to give up, even when people were telling her to quit. Her determination earned his respect and he started to obey her in battles, eventually learning to regard her as a trusted ally. Frederic will even allow Li to pet him. But only in private, he has a reputation to maintain after all.

:bulletblue:

Species: Lucario
Nickname: Rondo
Gender: Male
Nature: Mild

Attacks: Aura Sphere :bulletblue: Dragon Pulse :bulletblue: Dark Pulse :bulletblue: Blaze Kick
Ability: Inner Focus

History:

Li met Rondo when he was still a Riolu. When she was preparing to take on Canalave City’s gym, she started training on Iron Island. While exploring the caves Li stumbled upon an injured Riolu. The little fighting type had tried to take on a Steelix alone and had found himself quite out matched. Instead of catching Rondo right away, Li nursed him back to health. Rondo was charmed by Li’s kindness and followed her when she returned to Canalave city. Li smiled when Rondo expressed the desire to join her team and with that he was smitten with the idea of impressing the young trainer. He has become more serious since evolving, wanting to appear intimidating, but he still gets flustered whenever Li praises him.

:bulletblue:

Species: Gliscor
Nickname: Waltz
Gender: Male
Nature: Impish

Attacks: Acrobatics :bulletblue: X-Scissor :bulletblue: Poison Jab :bulletblue: Sky Uppercut
Ability: Hyper Cutter

History:

Waltz and Li had their fateful encounter when she was in Unova on a delivery run. Waltz was a Gligar at the time and Li caught the little bat when he was trying to steal poffins out of her knapsack. He is a bit of a hell raiser, often refusing to listen to anyone other than his trainer. Waltz is a bit of a kleptomaniac and will often steal food, as well as hats from other trainers. Li hasn’t quite been able to figure out why he takes the hats.

:bulletblue:

Species: Starmie
Nickname: Chopin
Gender: N/A
Nature: Hasty

Attacks: Bubble Beam :bulletblue: Thunderbolt :bulletblue: Signal Beam :bulletblue: Psychic
Ability: Natural Cure

History:

Chopin was the second Pokémon Li met in the area around Canalave City, where the Staryu quite literally fell into her life. Chopin had been caught in a fishing net but had managed to squirm free while it was raised, succeeding in freeing itself, but missing the ocean by a few feet and landing on Li as she walking along the docks. After a brief battle, Li was able to catch her falling star and add Chopin to her team, where it has since become one of her main tier battlers as well as her life raft, whenever she in unlucky enough to fall into the water.
